Works to stabilize landslide activity and restore the damaged road on the km 107–km 112 section of the Kutaisi (Choma)–Alpana–Mamisoni Pass road of domestic importance, at the entrance to the town of Oni, have been completed.
Traffic has been fully restored for all types of vehicles on this section of the road.
The works included stabilization of the landslide-affected area, restoration of the damaged road, and construction of a protective wall. The measures were aimed at stabilizing the slope and ensuring safe travel along the road.
As a reminder, on July 11, 2026, landslide activity on the mountainside at the entrance to Oni damaged the road carriageway, resulting in traffic restrictions on the main road.
To ensure uninterrupted traffic, a temporary bypass road was constructed and used by vehicles during the restoration of the main road.
Following the completion of the restoration works, traffic has resumed on the main road.
